Professional Hair Care Advice

We are to committed to making your hair look and feel good not just in the salon, but also in-between visits. We have put together some helpful advice to help you maintain your style and tips to make styling your hair as effortless as possible.

Ongoing maintenance

Using the correct shampoo and conditioner will help styling your hair, giving it body, volume, moisture and shine. If you are a regular swimmer, we recommend that you use a suitable shampoo to remove any chlorine build up.Hair is at its most fragile when wet, use a wide tooth comb to apply conditioner through the mid length and ends of the hair. Only brush the hair when dry. When washing your hair, apply shampoo to the roots and conditioner to the mid lengths and ends only.

We recommend that you rough dry your hair with a hairdryer to about 80% before using a brush to comb the hair.

Blow drying

Section your hair in to manageable areas to make blow-drying more controlled.

When using a hairdryer, ensure the airflow is root to end to keep the cuticle smooth. This results in a smoother finish. To help create volume, blow-dry into the root area and dry the hair in the opposite direction to what you want it to end up when finished.

Styling
Always use styling products sparingly and ensure that you towel dry your hair so as not to dilute the product.Always ensure that your hair is 100% dry before using any styling irons.

Apply finishing glosses and waxes to the ends of the hair, working your way up to the root area without applying more product.

Use a professional heat protector for peace of mind when using heated styling tools.

Use styling irons to create curls, flicks and to add volume.

Invest in the correct styling tools. A Paddle brush for long hair, bristle brush for smoothing and a ceramic round brush for adding volume.
